I am a two-spirit, queer, and trans therapist based in New Brunswick, Canada. I have a Master of Social Work and over 10 years of experience working as a therapist. I have worked with hundreds of individuals, groups, and couples navigating trauma and topics connected to lgbt identity.
As an educator I have taught university-level courses, developed and facilitated workshops, and provided keynote presentations for emerging therapists, social workers, business owners, and other professionals both in non-profit and corporate settings.
I utilize a unique blend of trauma-informed, queer and trans-affirmative, and decolonial, Indigenous approaches to healing that allow me to explore mental health issues with clients experiencing societal oppression and complex trauma. This approach is applied to courses and presentations I develop creating an interactive environment. Participants feel safe to explore complex ideas and leave with strategies they can implement in their current practice, organization, or workplace to become more trauma-informed and culturally relevant for Indigenous and lgbt folks.
